Applies to:
1st Generation TSS-3100 and TSS-4000 systems
Symptom:
Multiple drive replacement or failure of the RAID causing the system not to be able to boot properly.
Possible Reason(s):
A failed RAID or a system where multiple drives require replacement at once will require the RAID to be rebuilt.

- During boot message for RAID, press CTRL-H to enter the web setup
- Select Adapter 0 (default) and click START
- Select Configuration Wizard
- Select New Configuration > Next
- Select Yes to clear the current configuration
- Select Manual Configuration > Next
- Hold CTRL and select each drive then click Add To Array then click Accept DG, then >Next
- Click Add to SPAN then >Next In the Configuration window
- Select RAID Level – RAID 5
- Strip Size – 1 MB
- Access Policy – RW (Default)
- Read Policy – Always Read Ahead (Default)
- Write Policy – Always Write Back (Default)
- IO Policy – Cached (Default)
- Drive Cache – Enabled
- Disable BGI – Yes
- Select Size – Manually enter the size for the appropriate RAID level (RAID 5) from the Green line.
- Click Accept
- Select Yes for Always Write Back mode
- Click > Next then > Accept
- Click > Yes then > Yes to Initialize
- Click on Door Icon to Save and Exit
