Symptom:
During boot, the unit will display “Backup Battery Error”.
Possible Reason(s):
Generally, this error occurs when the coin cell battery in the unit is no longer working.
Solution(s):
Replace the battery.
The original battery was a BR2325. Since this is an older battery, sometimes customers have been able to replace it with either a CR2325 or a CR2032. Note that the CR2032 is a smaller, thinner battery so the clip on the holder may not make good contact.
Note that when the battery dies or is removed, all setup functions are returned to factory default.
