Formatting Instant Replay Hard Drive

Instant Replay models: DR-500/550/552/554/600

Symptom:

New or corrupted hard drive requires formatting and resetting to factory defaults.

Possible Reason(s):

NA

Solution(s):

CAUTION: Formatting the internal hard drive will erase all content, Hot-Key assignments and restore all settings back to factory defaults.

If installing a new hard drive, make sure that the drive is qualified for use in the device and that the jumpers are set appropriatly. If the drive does not format, recheck the installation and cables. Note that not all drive types and sizes will be recongnized by these systems.

  1. Start with the Instant Replay unit powered off.
  2. Hold the STOP button down and power on the unit.
  3. Continue to hold the STOP button until the FORMAT AND ERASE DRIVE PRESS ENTER message is shown on the display.
  4. Press ENTER.
  5. At the confirmation message, press PLAY.
